We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our growing legal practice. In this role, you will provide essential support in a criminal defense and civil litigation practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support skills while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities -Draft legal correspondence and assist with document production, discovery, and other litigation support. -Track filing deadlines and statutes of limitations while managing calendars for depositions, hearings, and client meetings. -Draft, format, edit, proofread, and electronically submit state court filings, pleadings, and discovery requests. -Support client communication by scheduling appointments, conducting interviews, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. -Handle client intake, draft retainer agreements, and organize physical and electronic case files using practice software such as MyCase -Handle day-to-day inquiries from clients, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, and court staff with discretion.
